Vietnam provinces promote agricultural products via digital trade

Various Vietnamese provinces are implementing digital transformation and trade promotion strategies to expand the market reach of local agricultural products and OCOP (One Commune, One Product) goods.

In Thái Nguyên, the Women's Union organized a 120-minute livestreaming event on TikTok and Facebook. The program featured 16 cooperatives and businesses, allowing them to showcase safe agricultural products and OCOP goods directly to consumers through digital platforms.

An Giang province held a promotional event in Hà Nội from August 28-30. The initiative combined direct sales with digital livestreaming to introduce regional specialties—such as fish sauce, processed seafood, palm sugar, and bird's nest products—to the capital's market. Many of these products hold 3 to 5-star OCOP ratings and meet international quality standards like VietGAP, ISO, and HACCP.

Other regional efforts include promoting trade for cooperatives in Hà Tĩnh and advancing cross-border e-commerce development in Phú Thọ to help local agricultural goods reach wider markets.
