Vietnamese banks Bac A Bank and ACB issue new shares for dividend payouts

Bac A Bank announced it will issue more than 80.4 million new shares as a 7.5% stock dividend, raising its charter capital by over VND 804 billion to above VND 11.5 trillion. The record‑date for shareholders to claim the dividend is set for June 26, 2026, and the additional shares will be allocated according to each shareholder’s entitlement, with any fractional shares rounded down.

Asia Commercial Bank (ACB) recorded its highest liquidity in a year, driven by a large purchase from the Au Lạc shareholder group that lifted its holding to about 415.5 million shares (8.09% of capital). ACB is preparing to close its shareholder register on June 16, 2025 to distribute a total dividend of 20% (7% cash, 13% stock). The bank plans to issue over 667.7 million new shares, increasing its charter capital by roughly VND 58 trillion. The broader market saw the VN‑Index slip below the 1,800‑point mark amid these developments.
