Huyền Lizzie and Duy Hưng to star in new drama ‘Căn Nhà Không Mái Che’

The upcoming Vietnamese television drama ‘Căn Nhà Không Mái Che’ (The House Without a Roof) is generating significant anticipation ahead of its premiere on VTV3 on October 12. The series marks the first onscreen pairing of popular actors Huyền Lizzie and Duy Hưng.

Set in the Northern Midlands region during the 2010s, the story follows two individuals from different backgrounds who attempt to build a new life together. Huyền Lizzie portrays Hạnh, a vegetable vendor struggling to raise two children while dealing with the trauma of past domestic abuse. Duy Hưng plays Toản, a widowed driver raising two children of his own.

The narrative explores the complexities of blending two families, focusing on the challenges of reconciling different personalities, social prejudices, and the adjustment of four non-biological siblings. Directed by Bùi Tiến Huy and Phạm Gia Phương, the drama aims to examine whether a family must be defined by blood relations.
