Vietnamese police seek prosecution of Nguyen Dinh Duc, beauty clinic director, for fake certificates
The Hưng Yên Provincial Police have completed their investigation into a fraud scheme operated by the director of Công ty TNHH Thẩm Mỹ viện Quốc tế Paris, Nguyen Dinh Duc (born 1978), and two accomplices, Tran Thi Thu and Nguyen Thanh Trung. The trio allegedly fabricated and sold occupational certificates without requiring any training or examination, targeting individuals who needed documents for tax registration or conditional business licenses.
Authorities determined that the suspects collected personal data and payments via social media platforms, produced fraudulent certificates, and earned a total of 107.8 million Vietnamese đồng (approximately US$4,600). The investigation concluded on 23 July 2026, and the police have referred the case to the provincial prosecutor, requesting charges under Article 341 of the Criminal Code for "making false official documents." The police warned the public against purchasing undocumented certificates advertised online.
The case highlights ongoing concerns about fraudulent credential services in Vietnam and the misuse of personal information in illicit schemes.
