Vietnamese schools implement mergers and restructuring for 2026-2027 academic year

Educational institutions in Vietnam are undergoing organizational restructuring and mergers for the 2026-2027 academic year to consolidate resources and improve teaching quality.

In Nong Trang, the merger of Nong Trang Secondary School and Minh Phuong Secondary School has resulted in a single institution serving 2,140 students with 85 staff members. The school is focusing on stabilizing management, enforcing discipline, and fostering self-study habits among students across its main campus and Minh Phuong branch.

In Hanoi, Thang Long Primary School was formed through the merger of Thang Long and Nguyen Ba Ngoc primary schools. Teachers are engaging in professional development sessions to unify teaching methods and ensure consistency across grade levels. Additionally, Giang Vo Secondary School has expanded its scale to over 5,500 students following mergers with two other local schools, necessitating new strategies for efficient operational management and uniform educational quality.
