Vietnam's An Bình‑Geleximco group sees sharp rise in SHN, ABBank and ABW stocks
In early July 2026, shares of companies linked to the An Bình/Geleximco ecosystem led by entrepreneur Vũ Văn Tiền surged on the Vietnamese market. SHN (Hanoi General Investment JSC) hit the ceiling price of 6,800 VND per share on July 3, a 70% rise from 4,000 VND on June 25, extending a streak of daily ceiling‑price moves that began on June 25. Over the past three months SHN jumped more than 74%.
ABBank (An Bình Commercial Joint‑Stock Bank) rose 2.2% to 18,800 VND, supported by a Q1 2026 earnings release showing pre‑tax profit of 1,500 billion VND, up 269% YoY, operating income of 3,078 billion VND (+136%) and a non‑performing loan ratio of 0.45%. The bank announced a 100:15 stock‑dividend and plans a capital increase of over 20,000 billion VND, including a rights offering and ESOP, and intends to transfer its listing from UPCoM to HOSE in 2026.
ABW, the brokerage arm of An Bình Securities, climbed about 4.7% to 13,400 VND. The broker disclosed a June capital‑raising filing and updates to its charter capital. Earlier in the year Geleximco reduced its stake in ABW from 45.85% to 4.9% after selling over 41.4 million shares.
An Bình Securities became a major shareholder of SHN by purchasing 10.58 million shares on June 25, raising its holding to 9.95% of the company (about 12.89 million shares) at a transaction value exceeding 38 billion VND. SHN stated that its operations remain normal and that price movements reflect market supply‑demand dynamics.
