Vietnam's ancient tea forest in Quang Ninh and solitary flamboyant tree in Khánh Hòa draw visitors

In Đường Hoa commune, Quảng Ninh province, a remote forest of century‑old tea trees is accessible only after a two‑hour trek through steep, stream‑filled terrain guided by local resident Phun A Sám. The towering tea trees, some up to 30 m high and covered in green moss, have remained largely untouched for generations.

Meanwhile, in Thuận Bắc commune, Khánh Hòa province, a lone flamboyant (phượng) tree stands amid expansive rice fields. Each summer the tree bursts into vivid red blossoms, creating a striking contrast against the green paddies and the distant wind‑farm turbines of Đầm Nại. The isolated tree has become a popular photo‑spot for tourists and locals alike, who share its image on social media.
