Vietnam's broadband speeds rank among the world’s fastest as telcos roll out personalized internet plans

Vietnam’s fixed‑line broadband now places the country in the top ten globally for speed and among the cheapest worldwide. A Q&Me survey shows that 67% of online shopping spend is driven by livestream, and users increasingly value stable, low‑latency connections for gaming, video streaming and smart‑home devices.

Consumers are willing to pay more for tailored service: 40% would add VND 50,000‑100,000 per month for a better experience, and 9% would pay up to VND 200,000. In response, telecom operator FPT has introduced segmented packages – FGame for gamers with ultra‑low ping, VVIP bundles that combine high‑speed internet, TV and premium sports content, and SpeedX for households with multiple devices, leveraging Wi‑Fi 7 and XGS‑PON technologies.

These developments signal a shift from generic broadband to “personalized internet” offerings, aiming to meet the diverse needs of Vietnam’s increasingly connected population.
