Vietnam's Clean Energy Initiatives Elevate Corporate Valuation and Garner Panasonic Sustainability Awards

Experts at the Solar & Storage Live Vietnam 2026 exhibition said that adopting clean energy has become a strategic asset that raises the international market valuation of companies. High ESG scores are prompting investors to offer premium prices in M&A deals, and major brands such as Adidas and Nike are imposing strict carbon‑emission standards, making clean electricity a prerequisite for participation in global supply chains. The shift is especially critical for high‑tech sectors like semiconductors and AI.

Challenges remain for small and medium‑sized enterprises, which face capital and technology gaps. Representatives from Bat Tràng ceramics noted that renewable energy can cut electricity costs by 40‑50 % and lift product compliance from 60 % to over 98 %. The panel underscored the need for financing support and simplified technology solutions to help SMEs transition.

At the same event, Panasonic Vietnam was highlighted for its green achievements. The company ranked among the Top 10 “Net Zero” enterprises and received the Asian CSR award for its "Light Up The Future" program, which has distributed about 130 000 solar lamps in 36 countries, including more than 4 100 in remote Vietnamese communities, while promoting STEM education and environmental stewardship.
