Vietnam's coastal festivals drive tourism surge in 2026
The FLC Quy Nhơn resort will host the Ngàn Hoa Festival from 15 August, showcasing thousands of Central Highlands flowers, cultural exchanges, music, fireworks and nightly gong performances. The month‑long event aims to link the highland city of Pleiku with the coastal destination of Quy Nhơn, extending visitor stays and promoting the newly merged Gia Lai province.
Da Nang opened its Enjoy Danang Festival on 23 July at the Biển Đông Park, running through 26 July. Highlights include a rural‑market food pavilion, illuminated sea‑shore installations, a kite‑light show with about 500 glowing kites, and a night‑time light dinner. The city reports that in the first half of 2026 it welcomed nearly 9.8 million tourists – 22.5 % more than the same period in 2025 – generating roughly VND 32.4 trillion in accommodation and dining revenue.
