Vietnam's cultural festivals spotlight heritage abroad

Domestically, a 5,000‑person march marked Ho Chi Minh City’s 50th anniversary, a Sports Festival is set to host about 17,000 participants, and Hai Phong’s pagoda preserved 896 historic wooden Buddhist tablets. Diaspora events included a Vietnamese Family Day in Israel, a Cham cultural festival in Khanh Hoa, and programmes such as “Friendship Melodies” and traditional martial‑arts promotion that support UNESCO cultural‑industry goals.
