Vietnam's Education Ministry mandates fixed university admission lists after virtual filtering

On 30 July, all Vietnamese higher‑education institutions completed uploading and reviewing their admission data on the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) system, preparing for the upcoming virtual filtering stage. From 4 August to 5 pm on 9 August, schools will use the system to determine each applicant’s highest‑priority admission wish. After the final processing run on 10 August, MOET requires every university to keep the resulting official admission list unchanged.

The MOET‑run system merely removes candidates who have secured a higher‑priority place; it does not alter quota numbers, cut‑off scores, or prior selection results. All priority‑group information entered by applicants will be fully transferred to schools before final selection. The ministry also set a deadline for publishing the cut‑off scores: no later than 5 pm on 13 August. Institutions must strictly follow these unified rules to ensure each student is admitted to a single, highest‑priority program.
