Vietnam's industrial hubs draw green FDI and upscale housing for foreign experts

Northern Vietnam's industrial capitals are seeing a surge in demand for premium rental apartments aimed at foreign specialists. In Bắc Ninh (formerly Bắc Giang), more than 3,200 foreign‑direct investment projects totalling over $55 billion have attracted about 25,000 expatriate engineers and managers. These professionals can pay $1,000‑$2,500 per month, prompting developers to plan high‑end apartments such as The Parc One, with projected yields of 12‑15 million VND per month.

Meanwhile, the coastal city of Hải Phong is positioning itself as a hub for “green” FDI. The city promotes eco‑industrial zones like DEEP C and Nam Cầu Kiền, which meet circular‑economy and carbon‑reduction criteria. Officials say this strategy not only brings clean‑energy‑focused capital but also forces local suppliers to adopt renewable energy, waste‑recycling and digital‑manufacturing practices to stay in global supply chains.
