Vietnam's Kafi Securities Reports Profit Surge While Can Tho Faces Investment Disbursement Gap

Kafi Securities (Công ty Cổ phần Chứng khoán Kafi) released its Q2 2026 financial results, showing cumulative six‑month revenue of over 2,023 trillion VND and pre‑tax profit of about 370 trillion VND, a 155% increase (more than 2½‑fold) from the same period last year. The firm’s margin‑loan book stood at roughly 11,701 trillion VND, representing about 142% of its equity, while total assets approached 26,111 trillion VND.

In the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho, the Finance Department said that to reach its goal of disbursing roughly 75% of the annual public‑investment budget by the end of Q3, it must allocate about 3,500 billion VND each month – almost equal to the amount spent in the first six months of the year. As of mid‑July, only about 21.5% of the 19,600 billion VND budget had been released, with delays attributed to land‑acquisition issues and rising material costs.
