Vietnam's luxury wedding and wellness tourism draws high‑spending visitors
Vietnam is positioning itself as a premier destination for high‑spending luxury tourism. In early 2026, the Quang Ninh province hosted six multi‑day weddings for Indian billionaires, each costing millions of U.S. dollars and attracting hundreds of guests. Over the previous year, more than 50 international weddings were held in Da Nang and other coastal cities, drawing couples from India, the United States, Australia and the Vietnamese diaspora. Nguyen Trung Khanh, director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, said the country’s scenic landscapes, developing infrastructure and capacity for large‑scale events make it well suited to attract wealthy wedding parties, naming Phu Quoc and Da Đang as standout venues.
At the same time, Vietnam is emerging as a leading wellness destination in Asia. Luxury resorts across the country, from beachfront sites on the East Sea to mountain retreats, now offer integrated spa, yoga, meditation and traditional Vietnamese herbal treatments. The growing portfolio targets travelers seeking extended wellness experiences, honeymooners and digital‑detox tourists. The sector’s expansion is expected to boost high‑value visitor spend and diversify Vietnam’s tourism product portfolio.
