Vietnam's MWG to pay 1.5 trn VND cash dividend as earnings surge
CTCP Đầu tư Thế Giới Di Động (MWG) will close its shareholder register for the first‑quarter 2025 cash dividend on 30 July, with a payout of 10 % (1,000 VND per share). With 1.47 billion shares outstanding, the company expects to distribute about 1.5 trillion VND, payable on 6 August.
For the first half of 2026, MWG reported consolidated revenue of 95,305 trillion VND, a 29 % increase year‑on‑year and roughly 52 % of its 185,000 trillion VND annual goal. Net profit after tax is projected to reach a record 9,200 trillion VND for the full year. growth was driven by its two main units, DMX and Bách Hóa Xanh. DMX generated nearly 65,100 trillion VND, up 31 %, while Bách Hóa Xanh added 632 new stores, delivering 28,300 trillion VND in revenue (up 25 %) and posting positive operating profit at the store level.
Online sales contributed over 7,000 trillion VND (about 11 % of total). Consumer‑finance revenue rose 49 %, accounting for 38 % of overall sales, and the payment‑services platform processed about 56,000 trillion VND across 36 million transactions. Abroad, the Erablue joint venture in Indonesia recorded 1,888 trillion IDR in revenue, a 92 % jump, after opening 80 new stores and achieving 17 % same‑store sales growth.
