A central component of the visit is co-chairing the second meeting of the Vietnam National Assembly - National People's Congress Cooperation Committee, a high-level mechanism established in 2024 to strengthen legislative ties.

During the visit, President Trần Thanh Mẫn held several high-level meetings, including with Chinese CPPCC Chairman Wang Huning and Chinese Premier Li Qiang. Key priorities include enhancing railway connectivity, facilitating bilateral trade, and increasing Chinese market access for Vietnamese agricultural products.

Additionally, the President met with Chinese friendship organizations and the Vietnamese community in China, which includes over 100,000 people.
