Vietnam and Mongolia strengthen ties through legislative cooperation
Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man concluded an official visit to Mongolia, aimed at deepening the Comprehensive Partnership between the two nations. During the visit, the legislative bodies of Vietnam and Mongolia signed Memoranda of Understanding to enhance cooperation in law-making, international coordination, and administrative exchange.
High-level discussions included meetings with Mongolian Prime Minister Nyam-Osor Uchral and Deputy Prime Minister Jadamba Enkhbayar. The leaders focused on economic connectivity, with Mongolia expressing readiness to facilitate Vietnamese investment in sectors such as leather, wool, and livestock production. Both sides also committed to strengthening cooperation in defense, security, digital transformation, and climate change response.
As part of the cultural exchange, Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his spouse participated in traditional Mongolian activities, including a miniature Naadam Festival and archery. The visit marks a significant step in bilateral ties, occurring as both countries work toward increasing trade volume and enhancing people-to-people exchanges.
