Vietnam's Đồng Nai Province and Ho Chi Minh City post near‑10% growth in H1 2026
Đồng Nai province reported a 9.81% rise in gross regional domestic product (GRDP) for the first half of 2026, reaching about 359,706 billion VND. Industrial and construction activities drove the increase with an 11.84% jump, while services grew 8.57%. Foreign direct investment totaled nearly USD 1.5 billion, focused on manufacturing, processing and logistics, and public investment disbursed over 40% of its annual plan, funding major transport and infrastructure projects.
Ho Chi Minh City recorded an 8.55% GRDP gain to roughly 1.55 quadrillion VND in the same period, with tax revenues of 477,173 billion VND (59.4% of the forecast). The city attracted about USD 7.5 billion in FDI, saw retail and service sales rise 13.2%, and tourism revenue soar 63.9% as international arrivals reached 6.39 million. More than 31,000 new enterprises were established, and infrastructure initiatives worth around 520,000 billion VND were launched, supporting continued urban development and economic diversification.
