Vietnam's pho roadshow concludes in Berlin

A three‑week, 4,000‑kilometre Vietnamese pho cultural roadshow that visited six European nations wrapped up on 15 July at the Việt Phố restaurant in central Berlin. The event, organised by the We Love Phở association and Vietnam’s embassy in Germany, attracted around 200 Vietnamese and German participants, including restaurateurs and cultural organisations. Attendees sampled traditional beef and chicken pho and a selection of regional dishes, with the embassy’s ambassador Nguyen Đắc Thành noting that “phở also serves as a diplomatic bridge, connecting people.”

The tour, which began in late June, stopped in Prague, Warsaw, Trnava, Bratislava, Vienna, Budapest, Bochum and finally Berlin, featuring eight Vietnamese culinary artisans and experts. Organisers highlighted the role of the roadshow in linking Vietnamese diaspora groups, European chefs, and business partners, and described it as a successful example of cultural diplomacy and promotion of Vietnam’s food heritage across Europe.
