Vietnam's Summer Volunteer Campaign Mobilizes Over 3,800 Students Across Nghệ An and Đồng Tháp
More than 850 university students from Nghệ An province joined the 2026 "Mùa Hè xanh" (Green Summer) campaign, launching activities such as rural infrastructure construction, digital‑service training, health outreach, and cultural classes in hard‑to‑reach districts like Tương Dương, Cát Ngạn and Con Cuông. The program also included a cross‑border team sent to Xieng Khouang province in Laos to deepen youth solidarity between the two nations.
In Đồng Tháp province, nearly 3,000 students formed 50 volunteer teams that built over 9 km of rural roads and bridges, delivered STEM and AI workshops, and helped residents adopt online public services. Volunteers also digitised historic family photos and supported border‑area communities near marker 232 and the Dinh Ba international gate, aligning with provincial goals for science, technology and digital transformation.
