Vietnam's TMT‑EGREEN completes first‑phase rollout of thousands of EV charging stations

TMT‑EGREEN, a subsidiary of Vietnam's TMT Group, finished the first‑phase deployment of electric‑vehicle charging posts in the southern region within three months, covering Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of An Giang, Kiên Giang, Bình Thuận and Ninh Thuận. The company imported 570 chargers in May‑June 2026 and plans to add another 160 units, including 320 kW stations for heavy‑duty trucks, during July‑August 2026, raising the total installed in the second phase to over 600.

The firm targets 2,100 charging posts by 31 December 2026 and aims for a network of 30,000 posts by 2030. Prices are set between 3,600 VND and 7,400 VND per kWh, which TMT‑EGREEN calls the cheapest in the market. From 15 July, a special service fee including VAT will apply: 3,651 VND/kWh off‑peak, 4,984 VND/kWh normal, and 7,436 VND/kWh peak. The business model lets site owners provide locations while TMT‑EGREEN handles investment, installation, operation and revenue sharing based on actual electricity consumption. Equipment is warranted for five years with 24/7 technical support, and users can register, authenticate and pay via the TMT‑EGREEN app.
