Vietnamese firms climb Fortune Southeast Asia 500 rankings
Vietnam’s leading conglomerates made notable gains in Fortune’s Southeast Asia 500 list for 2026, which ranks the region’s 500 largest companies by revenue.
Vingroup rose to 26th place, up 11 spots from the previous year, reporting revenue of USD 12.76 billion in 2025 – a 69 % year‑on‑year increase – with net profit of USD 436.5 million and total assets of USD 42.5 billion. The group’s subsidiary VinFast delivered 58,577 electric vehicles in the first quarter of 2026, a 61 % rise on the same period in 2025.
Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) entered the ranking for the first time at position 148, posting USD 2.33 billion in revenue and USD 103.8 million profit in 2025. State‑owned PetroVietnam remained the highest‑ranked Vietnamese firm at 11th overall.
VPBank improved ten places to 77th, with 2025 revenue exceeding USD 4.9 billion and after‑tax profit of USD 922 million, reflecting strong growth amid a challenging market environment.
In total, Vietnam has 72 companies on the list, contributing USD 177.9 billion in revenue, while Thailand leads in the number of listed firms (105) and Singapore leads in aggregate revenue.
