ViewSonic opens London Solutions Hub and announces CoG display goals
ViewSonic has opened a new Solutions Hub in Vauxhall, London, designed as a collaborative space for integrators, consultants, and end users. The facility allows visitors to compare various technologies, including monitors, LCD displays, large-format displays, and direct view LED (dvLED), alongside partner solutions for audio, connectivity, and mounting.
The company intends to use the London hub as a template for future locations, with plans to expand the partner-led concept to cities such as Istanbul, Dubai, and Prague. The hub will also serve as a venue for industry events, training sessions, and workshops.
During the hub's opening, ViewSonic revealed plans to bring chip on glass (CoG) LED display panels to the professional AV market. Global business development director Luke Chen stated that the company is currently testing CoG technology with a manufacturer in China. If successful, ViewSonic expects to introduce all-in-one LED displays based on CoG by late 2028. This technology is expected to produce thinner, lighter panels that consume 20% less energy than current LED technology.
