Vigo launches municipal training and educational programs

The Vigo City Council has launched several municipal initiatives aimed at social support and education. The Municipal Volunteer Office is offering seven free training courses during October and November. These sessions, held at the Bouzas District Municipal Office, cover topics such as basic volunteering, addiction prevention, digital gap reduction through AI, emergency social support, emotional accompaniment for the elderly, advanced first aid, and interculturality.

Additionally, the city is resuming its educational reinforcement workshops for Primary and Secondary students. Part of the 'Infancia y Familia' program, which has an 829,000 euro budget, these free workshops will run until June at social service centers in Coia, Rivera Atienza, Teis, and Rúa Alta. The program aims to foster academic autonomy and socio-educational skills.

Furthermore, the local government has approved a 31,000 euro tender for guided tours of the Pereiró cemetery. These tours, scheduled to coincide with All Saints' Day, will offer 1,755 free places across 63 routes led by professional guides.
