Vigo prepares for Christmas festivities and hotel demand

Vigo is advancing preparations for its annual Christmas celebrations. The city is currently setting up holiday lights and the Cíes Market near Vialia Vigo. For the Three Kings Parade, the city council has established a nature and magic theme, featuring a “magical forest” concept. The local government has opened a fifteen-day period for artists and animators to submit proposals for performances that must align with this year's specific costume and characterization requirements.

In anticipation of the holiday season, local hotels are already managing high demand. Many establishments are implementing booking restrictions, such as minimum two-night stays or non-refundable rates, to manage occupancy during peak periods. While the official date for the Christmas light switch-on has not yet been confirmed by the city council, hotels are preparing for significant influxes of visitors based on previous years' trends.
