Vigo prepares to inaugurate new city ramps to improve mobility

The municipal government of Vigo is set to officially open several new accessibility ramps across the city. Works at Pintor Colmeiro, Paseo de Granada and other locations have been completed, and the contract for comprehensive maintenance has been transferred to TK Elevadores España S.L. to ensure safe operation from day one. The inauguration, expected on 1 August, will allow residents to use the newly installed ramps that connect key streets and improve movement in steep areas of the city.

A separate guide highlights how visitors can explore Vigo in a single day, recommending a route that starts at the Monte O Castro viewpoint, then proceeds to the Porta do Sol square, the historic Casco Vello district, and the commercial streets of the city centre. The guide emphasizes efficient navigation of the city’s hills and attractions for tourists.
