Vigo to introduce illuminated Christmas photocall to boost tourism

The Vigo City Council is advancing preparations for its annual Christmas season to bolster local tourism. A new contract includes the installation of an illuminated 3D photocall measuring six meters long and 2.8 meters high.

Featuring the phrase ‘Vigo, onde vive o Nadal’, the structure will be made of aluminum with anti-graffiti laminated vinyl. Unlike previous versions that were only functional during daylight hours, this new installation will include lighting to allow visitors to take photographs at night. The project also encompasses various promotional materials and signage for emblematic locations such as the Porta del Sol Christmas trees and various city plazas.
