Vijay Vaidettiwar condemns NEET exam centre allocation to Abu Dhabi
Senior Congress leader Vijay Vaidettiwar on 20 June 2026 sharply criticised the central government’s decision to allocate a NEET examination centre in Abu Dhabi for a student from Nagpur. He argued that the move exposed a failure in India’s education system and called on Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to resign, saying the administration cares only about retaining power.
Vaidettiwar also used the occasion to denounce broader political trends, including party‑switching, the “One Nation, One Election” proposal and attempts to weaken opposition parties. His comments were made during a press briefing in Nagpur and targeted both the education ministry and state officials for what he described as neglect of students’ futures.
