Viška regata to feature 164 boats on Split-Vis route

The 82nd Viška regata is scheduled to take place from October 16 to 18, following a route between Split and Vis. This offshore sailing event, one of the oldest in the Mediterranean, will feature 164 participating boats.

This year's regatta serves as the grand finale of the Split Sailing Festival and carries a special dedication to the 70th anniversary of the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS). Organizers noted that the event promotes the Dalmatian coast beyond the peak tourist season, with international crews arriving from Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.

In addition to the competition, the event includes a cultural program in Vis featuring gastronomy, local crafts, and music, concluding with the 'Adio lito' festival on Sunday.
