Vikki Soloman murder triggers police watchdog probe in Edinburgh
Vikki Soloman, a 44‑year‑old owner of Vikki Soloman Aesthetics, was fatally stabbed in her home on Craigievar Square, Edinburgh, on 20 July 2026. Her former partner, 46‑year‑old Lee Greenan, was charged with murder but was found dead in his cell at HMP Edinburgh a few days later, an incident believed to be a suicide.
The Police Investigations and Review Commissioner (PIRC) has opened an investigation into the conduct of police after it emerged that officers had been contacted before the killing. Police cordoned the property, conducted a forensic sweep, and noted a car displaying Soloman’s business signage and a single bouquet of flowers left at the scene. Shortly after the murder, Greenan entered the nearby Mid Yoken pub covered in blood and reportedly confessed to the killing. The watchdog will submit its findings to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.
