Viktor Nuđić marks 34th anniversary of Operation Corridor 92
Acting director of the Republic Center for Research of War, Victor Nuđić said the 1992 Operation "Corridor" by the Army of Republika Srpska was not merely a military action but a matter of survival for Serbs west of the Drina. He described the corridor as a "corridor of life" and a symbol of suffering, unity and the determination to endure.
Nuđić recalled that at least 898 fighters were killed and more than 2,000 wounded during the June 14‑28 offensive in Posavina, which opened the way to liberate Brod in October 1992. He highlighted the tragedy in Banja Luka, where a ban on flights and lack of oxygen led to the death of 12 newborns in a maternity ward.
The Center has produced a documentary‑drama film "Corridor 922" and published the book "Operation Corridor 92 – Testimony of Heroes". Commemorations will be held tomorrow at Dugoj Njivi near Modriča.
