Viktor Orbán and Central European leaders reject EU migration pact

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán told reporters in Brussels that the European Union’s migration pact is unacceptable in any form, calling it contrary to Hungary’s interests and to the will expressed in a 2016 referendum where over 98% voted against compulsory migrant relocation. He rejected both financial contributions and assistance, urging each country to protect its own borders.
