Ávila economic revitalization plan presented for 2027-2029

Carlos Fernández Carriedo, the Minister of Economy and Finance for Castilla y León, met with officials in Sotillo de la Adrada to present the Economic Revitalization Plan for the valleys of Alto Tiétar, Alberche, and Tierra de Pinares.

The proposed plan, spanning from 2027 to 2029, aims to benefit 20 municipalities and a population of over 31,600 residents. The region currently supports nearly 2,000 active companies and 591 tourist accommodations.

Key strategic objectives include increasing tourism demand, modernizing the business fabric through digitalization and technology, and adding value to agri-food and forestry resources. The plan also focuses on improving industrial infrastructure and creating a portfolio of new business projects through a dedicated Project Bank and entrepreneurship support instruments.
