Vilafranca and Serrallo lead record-breaking castells at Tarragona diada

The castellers of Vilafranca de Vallès delivered an exceptional performance at the Pla de la Seu diada in Tarragona, completing several extra‑level towers. They successfully loaded a 3 of 9 with folre, the first 9 of 9 with folre and manilles of the season, a 4 of 9 with folre and agulla, and a pillar of 8 with folre and manilles, marking a historic milestone for the group.

Castellers of Sants also stood out, achieving the "tripleta màgica" by planting a 4 of 9 with folre. Meanwhile, the Xiquets del Serrallo recorded their first ever 8‑tower in the group's history, alongside a 4 of 8, and added several other first‑time achievements for the club. Other local groups, including the Xiquets de Tarragona and Castellers of Terrassa, contributed additional notable towers, making the weekend a landmark event for Catalan casteller culture.
