Villa González councilman and wife robbed in home invasion

Two hooded individuals entered the residence of Villa González councilman Manuel Eduardo Torres and his wife on Tuesday morning. The assailants reportedly tied the couple up while they were in the kitchen.

Preliminary reports indicate the suspects stole approximately RD$200,000 in cash, US$2,000, and various valuable items. The residence also housed a pawn shop business. The National Police of Villa González, supported by units from Santiago, have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators and determine the circumstances of the robbery.
