Villa La Angostura and Pucón attract winter tourists
Villa La Angostura in Argentina’s Neuquén province, 460 km from the city of Neuquén on Ruta 40 and within Nahuel Huapi National Park, is promoted as a top winter destination. The town offers ski and snowboarding at Cerro Bayo, snowshoe walks, tubing, family‑friendly activities, historic streets, the Bosque de Arrayanes and lake views.
In Chile, the town of Pucón markets August as the “Month of the Hot Springs,” with 20 % discounts at nine thermal centres coordinated by the municipality, the local tourism chamber and spa operators. Mayor Sebastián Álvarez notes the initiative draws visitors for hot‑spring baths, snow, trekking, horseback rides, volcanic‑cave tours and diverse outdoor experiences.
