Villa Santina inaugurates new school and canteen complex
A new educational complex comprising a primary school and a lower secondary school, along with a modern canteen, has been inaugurated in Villa Santina. The facility serves over 150 students, including more than 50 in the primary school and over 100 in the secondary school.
The project represents a total investment of approximately 9.1 million euros. The construction of the school building cost roughly 7.3 million euros, funded by regional resources (3.32 million euros), the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (2.675 million euros), and municipal funds (1.3 million euros). An additional 1.8 million euros was allocated for the new canteen facilities, supported by PNRR funds (1.365 million euros) and regional resources (435,000 euros).
Regional Finance Councilor Barbara Zilli attended the ceremony, noting that the investment provides essential services for families and opportunities for local youth in the Carnia region. Other attendees included Villa Santina Mayor Domenico Giatti and various local institutional representatives.
