Villajoyosa launches intensive street cleaning plan across all neighborhoods

The Villajoyosa City Council has launched a new intensive street cleaning plan across all municipal neighborhoods following the summer season. This seasonal reinforcement aims to bolster daily cleaning services through weekly intensive sessions in different areas.

The first intervention took place in the La Cala district, utilizing a brigade of nine workers and specialized machinery, including two sweepers, a water cleaning machine, and a water truck for street washing. The next scheduled intensive cleaning session is set for the Costera Pastor area.

Mayor Marcos Zaragoza stated that this initiative follows the expansion of the cleaning contract in July 2023. He emphasized that the plan is part of an effort to improve the urban landscape, while also calling on residents and tourists to help maintain cleanliness in public spaces.
