Lega advocates for expansion of Strade Sicure security operation

Political representatives from the Lega party are advocating for the expansion of the ‘Strade Sicure’ operation, a proposal aimed at increasing the national military presence for public security to 10,000 units.

In Macerata, local commissioner Andrea Marchiori expressed strong support for the initiative, stating that enhancing the operation would be a ‘precious resource’ for the city. He emphasized that increasing military presence would help protect citizens, commercial activities, and urban decorum, particularly in areas previously affected by crime.

Similarly, in Cesena, Lega group leader Enrico Sirotti Gaudenzi called for the city to be included in the program. He argued that the current administration has failed to address urban security issues and that the increased military presence would provide a necessary additional layer of control and prevention in strategic locations.
