Rauti emphasized that the initiative has improved both the perception of safety and actual security through continuous, 24/7 monitoring. While she did not rule out increasing the current deployment of approximately 6,800 personnel, she cautioned that expansion must account for resource availability and the time required for specialized training and equipment.

In L'Aquila, opposition city councilors Enrico Verini and Gianni Padovani have formally requested Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi to activate the operation in their city. Although the City Council unanimously approved the measure in 2024, it has not yet been implemented. The councilors cited a growing sense of insecurity and criticized the Prefecture’s perceived inertia and the lack of a municipal police commander, stating they may escalate the matter to the President of the Republic if the request is not addressed.
