Vinarchy launches Vintelligence to target £1.4 billion UK wine growth

Vinarchy has introduced Vintelligence, a strategic initiative aimed at unlocking a £1.4 billion growth opportunity within the UK wine market. The plan seeks to increase category growth by an estimated 11% by 2029 by shifting consumer navigation away from traditional metrics like region, grape, and vintage. Instead, the initiative focuses on more intuitive cues such as occasion, taste, and price.

Research conducted by Vinarchy indicates that 36% of wine consumers enter retail environments without a specific intent to purchase wine. To address this, Vintelligence utilizes four primary occasion drivers: ‘My Go-To Wine’, ‘Good With Food’, ‘Marking The Occasion’, and ‘Fun Together’. The goal is to make wine easier to select for various social settings and dining experiences.

Following the 2025 merger of Accolade Wines and Pernod Ricard, Vinarchy has established itself as a global leader in the wine sector with a diverse portfolio of brands, including Church Road and Jacobs Creek.
