Vincent Bolloré responds to reports on 2027 election preferences
French businessman Vincent Bolloré has responded to media reports regarding his private opinions on potential candidates for the 2027 presidential election. In a statement on X, Bolloré criticized the journalistic methods used in recent investigations, such as those by Le Nouvel Obs, claiming he was not directly interviewed and that the attributed remarks were unprofessional.
Reports suggested Bolloré had expressed critical views on several political figures, including Marine Le Pen, Jordan Bardella, Bruno Retailleau, Édouard Philippe, and Éric Zemmour. During his response, Bolloré defined his own political identity as a ‘democrate-chrétien’ (Christian democrat) and emphasized his respect for democratic processes and election results.
Bolloré also highlighted the work of the Institut de l’Espérance, a think tank he leads. The organization is currently preparing a manifesto intended to influence public debate on topics such as security, purchasing power, and civil liberties ahead of the next presidential election.
