Vinícius Martins de Paulo rewarded with car and motorcycle after bee attack rescue

Vinícius Martins de Paulo, a delivery driver known as Vinny, was awarded a new car and a motorcycle in recognition of his heroic actions in Ibirité, Brazil. The reward was organized by the Tropa do Bem project, an initiative dedicated to celebrating acts of solidarity.

The recognition follows an incident where Vinny risked his life to save 12-year-old Safira Emanuele Gomes dos Santos Rosa during a bee attack. After a beehive fell from a tree near a school, the girl was swarmed by bees. Vinny intervened by entering the swarm to remove the insects from the girl, using water and deodorant spray to help disperse them.

During the rescue, Vinny sustained approximately 40 stings and required medical attention. The young girl was hospitalized in serious condition in a pediatric intensive care unit after receiving hundreds of stings. Vinny stated that he acted instinctively due to being a father to two daughters.
