VinFast and Lynk & Co lead automotive developments at VIMS 2026

The Vietnamese automotive landscape is seeing significant activity from both domestic and international brands. VinFast is expanding its footprint, with plans to enter the US electric bus market through a partnership with NexMove, targeting deliveries starting in Q1 2028. Domestically, VinFast continues to promote its electric vehicle lineup, including the VF 3 mini SUV and the VF Wild REEV pickup, while offering various incentives and expanding its charging infrastructure.

At the Vietnam Innovative Mobility Show (VIMS) and Car Choice Awards (CCA) 2026, several brands showcased new models. Lynk & Co drew attention with its sporty CUV models, the 02 and 900, as well as the 03 sedan. The CCA 2026 recognized various winners across multiple segments, including the VinFast VF 8 as the New Electric Car of the Year and the VinFast VF 3 as the GenZ Car of the Year. Other notable winners included the Hyundai Creta for family cars under 600 million VND and the Mazda CX-5 for the 600 million to 1 billion VND segment.

In the Indonesian market, the VinFast VF 3 was honored as a “Trusted and Loved Brand 2026” in the electric passenger car category, reflecting the brand's growing regional recognition.
