VinFast and Mitsubishi report growth in EV and hybrid vehicle markets

VinFast reported a significant increase in electric vehicle deliveries in Vietnam for July 2026, shipping 21,781 units. This represents a 21 percent increase compared to June 2026. Total domestic deliveries for the period of January to July 2026 reached 137,697 units. The VF 3 compact electric model was the top contributor, with 5,564 units delivered in July and a cumulative total of 29,345 units since the start of the year.

Mitsubishi has announced plans to export the Xforce Hybrid, manufactured at its Cikarang plant in Indonesia, to 69 countries starting in September 2026. The rollout will begin with ASEAN markets before expanding globally. Mitsubishi aims to increase its total exports from Indonesia, targeting 135,000 vehicles following previous export figures of 105,079 units last year.
