VinFast considers US and European expansion for VF 2 micro EV

VinFast is considering the potential expansion of its VF 2 micro electric vehicle into the United States and European markets. While the company has not officially announced a distribution plan for these regions, a communication from VinFast Canada suggested that the arrival of small vehicles in these markets is “not totally incongruous,” following the success of similar models like the Citroën Ami and Fiat Topolino.

The VF 2 is a compact, two-door, four-seater electric vehicle designed for urban environments. It measures 3,090 mm in length and features an 18.3 kWh battery, providing a maximum range of 210 km under the NEDC standard. The vehicle is powered by a rear motor producing 40 horsepower and 65 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 80 km/h.

In Vietnam, the VF 2 is positioned as an affordable entry-level option, priced at approximately 188 million VND (roughly 6,200 EUR or 7,214 USD). Despite its small size, the model includes features such as LED headlights, a 7-inch screen, air conditioning, and safety systems including ABS and traction control.
