VinFast develops new large SUV and EREV pickup truck

VinFast is expanding its vehicle lineup with new developments in the large SUV and pickup truck segments. A camouflaged large SUV has recently been spotted at a VinFast factory, featuring a more angular design and higher ground clearance than the current VF 9 model. This new vehicle may utilize a new chassis platform or could potentially feature Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) technology, similar to the VF Wild.

Regarding the VF Wild pickup truck, the commercial version is expected to retain the rugged design of its concept predecessor while offering improvements to rear passenger space. A key highlight for the VF Wild is its powertrain, which aims to address range anxiety by utilizing EREV technology. This system uses a small gasoline engine as a generator to charge the battery, allowing for longer travel distances without total reliance on charging infrastructure.
