Ford Ranger and VinFast VF 8 receive major upgrades in Vietnam

Ford Vietnam announced the 2026 Ranger lineup with a 10‑speed automatic transmission across all versions, larger 12‑inch centre infotainment screens, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, LED tail lights, electric folding mirrors and other premium features. The 2.0‑litre turbo diesel engine received a new cam chain and Bosch fuel‑injector system, while the standard XLS model kept its price at VND 707 million. Warranty coverage was extended to five years or 150,000 km, the longest for the model in the country.

VinFast unveiled the next‑generation VF 8 SUV with a ground‑up chassis redesign, an in‑house Integrated Thermal Management (ITM) system, and a weight reduction of about 600 kg. The vehicle now offers a 12.9‑inch touchscreen, a new operating system and an additional driver‑information display. Listed at VND 999 million, the VF 8 is sold for under VND 900 million after a 10 % discount, tax‑free registration and other summer promotions, making it one of the most affordable electric SUVs in Vietnam.
