VinFast launches premium electric motorbikes Kinet and Kyo in Vietnam

VinFast held a launch event on 20 July in Vietnam to introduce two new high‑end electric scooters, the Kinet and the Kyo. The Kinet is styled as a sport‑bike with a 14‑inch wheel, LED projector headlamp and a 22‑litre under‑seat storage box. It is powered by an in‑hub motor rated up to 5.2 kW (3 kW nominal), accelerates to 50 km/h in under six seconds and reaches a top speed of 90 km/h. With two 1.5 kWh LFP batteries it can travel up to 145 km on a charge.

The Kyo targets urban riders, featuring a classic round‑headlamp design, 21‑litre storage, a 3 kW (1.8 kW nominal) in‑hub motor and a top speed of 64 km/h. It also supports a 160 km range when equipped with two batteries. Both models include a TFT colour display, smart‑key access, and the option to swap batteries or charge at home. Prices for the Kinet and Kyo have not yet been announced.
